The current menu system for UC Davis dining commons was outdated and not user-friendly. Many students struggled to find detailed information about daily meal offerings, and those with dietary restrictions found it difficult to navigate the menu efficiently. AggieMenus was developed to address these issues by offering a streamlined, visually appealing interface that organizes menu items based on student preferences, including filters for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergen-free options. By integrating real-time updates and personalized recommendations, AggieMenus ensures that every student can easily plan their meals according to their tastes and needs, all from the convenience of their phone or computer.
CONCLUSION?
AggieMenus has revolutionized the dining experience at UC Davis, providing a highly accessible and visually appealing solution to menu navigation in the dining commons. The platform has not only helped students make informed food choices but has also fostered a more inclusive environment for those with dietary restrictions. By making meal planning easier and more personalized, AggieMenus ensures that students can enjoy a healthier, stress-free dining experience. As we continue to gather feedback and iterate on the design, we look forward to expanding the platform’s features to make UC Davis dining even more student-friendly.
